Baked Brie for any Occasion

Here's what you need to get started:

Puff Pastry or Crescent Roll Dough
Small or Large Circle of Brie
Jam or Sweet Spread
Lemon Juice or Sprite
Apples and/or Crackers

I prefer the puff pastry sheets because they come in one big sheet but either these or crescent rolls work.

Cut the brie in half.

This first baked brie I used Harris Teeter's Black Raspberry Jam

You can use any type of jam or spread! Sweet spreads compliment the soft, creamy brie but you can experiment and use any type of spread, for example a peppered jelly would work great or even a shredded cheese and diced jalapenos would taste great!

The second brie I made a spread with honey and chopped up candied pecans.

Place the two halves together and wrap in the puff pastry or crescent roll dough

Wrap the brie in the crescent roll dough and make sure all areas are covered.

Take the remaining dough to make any designs or leaves and berries!

To make a leaf, take a triangle of dough...

Pinch the end and twist

Place brie in center of pastry sheet and wrap brie.

With excess pastry dough, gather and twist the ends to make a design on top of the brie.

Have any remaining dough? Make leaves and berries on the top!

I use the apples as crackers and in order for them to stay fresh and from browning, soak them in lemon juice or use sprite

Here's the finish product with some guests who couldn't wait for me to take a picture!

Easy Prep about 10 minute and then bake for 15 to 20 minutes  at 350 degrees until dough is baked and browned
